Child and Family Focus offers certified clinical supervision at an affordable rate on a flexible schedule. Supervision is offered to professionals seeking to obtain or maintain licensure or certification in mental health and addiction treatment. Supervision is designed to meet the standards for the GA State Certified Addictions Counseling (GACAC) and National Association of Addiction Counselors (NAADAC) and the GA State Licensed Professional Counseling (LPC) requirements. Supervision includes ongoing support, education and preparation for successful testing results and comprehensive supervision requirements. Child and Family Focus believes in supporting competent professional development and ongoing education. Individual and group supervision is provided by Georgia State Certified Clinical Supervisors. A clinical social worker must have a college degree, plus at least two years of graduate training in a program accredited by the Council on Social Work Education. Certified social workers have a master's or doctoral degree in Social Work (MSW, DSW, or Ph.D.) from a program approved by the Council on Social Work Education, have had two years of post-degree experience in the practice of social work, and must have passed an examination given by the Academy of Certified Social Workers (ACSW). Licensing procedures for Georgia State requires that each eligible candidate document hours of supervision from a state approved clinical supervisor. Licensure for Professional counseling in the state of Georgia requires a master's or doctoral degree in counseling related study (MA, MS, or Ph.D.) from a program approved by the Psychological Association or the National Board of Certified Counselors (NBCC) . Caanditates must pass the Natioanl Certification Examination and document hours of supervision from a state approved clinical supervisior.
CFF offers approved supervision to qualified candidates who are porsuing certification in addictons counseling.
